Although all degree programs at both faculties are taught in Czech, foreign students can study in English or German in the lifelong learning programs. JAMU can boast, at present, a relatively high number of foreign students (66); this figure includes students from the Slovak Republic. Foreign students can study at either faculty, either free of charge as full-time students after they have successfully passed the entrance examination (the study programs are in Czech), or within the lifelong learning program, for which tuition fees are charged. For these students and for the students in the SOCRATES/ERASMUS program, lessons in the Czech language are organized by JAMU.
